Maverick were another one of those high-end brands we'd heard a lot about, and we were intrigued by some of their ideas.
Our stock was already covered for Single pivot, 4-Bar, VPP and single pivot/linkage activated shocks. The floating bottom bracket of the Maverick has allowed us to offer that extra option to our customers! We've definately decided that there's no "one" system to suit all riders, so having differerent demo bikes available to ride/compare seemed the best bet for us.
As a quick runthrough- the Maverick "Monolink" suspension gives a rearward axle path, roughly parallel to the front wheel travel. This means that the wheel moves up and over bumps, rather than trying to curve round them. The added advantage is no "bob" and the integrated rear end is incredibly stiff!
Maverick also manufacture forks to suit their frames and like the rear shock, they're incredibly tuneable-allowing a truly custom ride. Throw in a matching hub and teh neatest adjustable seatpost to complete the brand portfolio!
