We first came upon Clif bar when one of our distributors started to bring them into the UK in 2006. We were at a trade show, and were given a few samples to try. Having been used to dry, cakey, bland, synthetic energy products, Clif showed that this needn't be the case!
We took them on immediately, and cant wait for more of the flavours to make their way to these shores!
Gary Erickson's story of setting up Clif ("Raising The Bar", ISBN 0787973653) makes for truly inspiring reading. A true "nice, small company takes on the big guys and wins" affair- it details how Clif have always stuck with natural, organic ingredients, basing the company on the product and it's people, not marketing hype.
